TruAirspeed is a True Airspeed Calculator available for iOS devices, such as the iPhone and iPad. It distinguishes itself from other true airspeed calculators by utilizing the indicated altitude and Kollsman window's pressure setting as inputs, eliminating the need for adjusting the altimeter to standard sea level pressure.

Upon entering these values, TruAirspeed promptly calculates the pressure altitude, density altitude, true airspeed, and Mach number with an account of compressibility effects, although it does not consider shock waves, thus restricting its application to subsonic and non-transonic flight operations.

The app offers users the flexibility to select preferred units for both input and output parameters. Furthermore, users can opt for a calculator-style keypad (top row: 7-8-9) or a telephone-style keypad (top row: 1-2-3) for input convenience. Additionally, it allows for setting a correction factor for airspeed indicator/pitot-static system calibration if known (e.g., 0.95).
